Got Innovation and Creativity? – How to Grow a Great Idea

Innovation and Creativity Does Not Live in a Vacuum

I had an awesome time talking with Josepf Haslam the other day about this. What a great mind and conversationalist. Thanks Josepf!

Got innovation and creativity in your business? Josepf Haslam of Dragonsearch Marketing and Don F Perkins of Localedge Media talk about some recent examples of spurring innovation by increasing connections. Consider ways you can use Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin to spark creativity. Got a great idea? Grow it on line. Let others add to it. Some great ideas by Stephen B. Johnson’s book: “Where good ideas come from” are looked at, along with some real world examples of businesses recognizing the value of these powerful principles:

Chance favors the connected mind.

Increasing social connections spurs innovation and creativity in your business.

Good ideas often come from the collision of smaller hunches.

Pay it forward and it will come back to you.

Good ideas grow into great ideas when shared

  1. I very much support sharing ideas. If people do it freely, such as in a brainstorming session, each suggestion can build upon the previous one until you end up with something bigger.

  2. Oh, thank you sharing all those great ideas. As a matter of fact I have my mind filled with thousands of business ideas but I have the feeling I lack the required know-how to put some of them in practice… Your tips are quite helpful! ;)

      Thanks Alex,

Glad it was helpful. One of the hardest things sometimes is putting great ideas into practice. Behavioral change is so hard.

At this time it sounds like Drupal is the preferred blogging platform out there right
now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
