Thanks for sharing this little anecdote. The world works in mysterious ways... This post could not have fallen in my lap at a better time. You see, I work for a startup company called HiretheWorld - I am young, but ambitious and this being my first role in a marketing position has me face new challenges every day. Right now, my challenge is one directly related to your blog post. It's about asking. Asking bloggers, like yourself, to actually take notice of us and for us to reach out first and ASK how we may be able to provide some quality content for their readers. Maybe it's a story about our journey so far, maybe its directly about our product and service, or maybe its successes and failures we may have had along the way. I hear what you are saying... maybe it is fear of failure, maybe its fear of not approaching or pitching to a blogger in an optimum way. But you have given me some inspiration to just do it! That's exactly what our profession is all about. Leave the egos or comfort zone at the door. I would love for you to be the first blogger I hear back from. Maybe we have a story that you can write about. In fact, I work with CRM on a daily basis if I may provide you with some insights from a startup. Either way, it would be great to start a conversation. That's My Ask.
